I think an Acro looks better on a revolver than other RDS. The round bits must do it

Dan Wesson 715 in 357 magnum. Early gun with original 8” barrel, 4” from 20 years ago, and a brand new 6” and 2.5”. All vented heavy stainless goodness.

Just picked up these Smith’s this week. I had been looking to add the grip safety J frame .38 to my collection for some time. The two grip safety revolvers are Model 40’s, blue and nickel. They came in the original factory boxes and are in very nice shape. The blued gun is near perfect but the nickel one has some age freckling on it. Both made in the early 70’s. The target sighted one is a .38 made in a run of less than 200 in 1959 and is near new. The model became the Model 50 later, this one has no model number stamped on it. It’s in near new condition, appearing unfired since leaving the factory.

 Early 1970s S&W model 29 .44 Magnum Magnaported and chrome finished by Magnaport. This is my holy grail revolver that I inherited from my late father back in 2020. 1910-ish S&W M&P Target 3rd Change in .38 Special. All original and not refinished which is very common with these older guns. Non-standard 6.5" barrel length which means I need to get a letter. Dead on with lead 158gr standard pressure stuff.

Completed a couple sets recently. First up is the new Pythons in all five barrel lengths, 2.5”, 3”, 4.25”, 5” and 6”. All of them have been upgraded with Wilson Combat rear/front sights and the 2.5” & 3” have stag grips.
 Second is a set of S&W Mountain Guns, pre lock. The calibers are .45 acp, .45 Colt, .41 & .44 mags. Some came with Smith/Hogue grips but all now wear Smith combat grips. The only thing I don’t care for is that the previous owner of the 44 mag polished it and added Millett sights. The sights are OK but the polishing leaves a bit to be desired. It looks better in person and the price was right.

That would make sense, you could run the cord over the bbl or under the frame so it's not cut. Ok, you move your non-dominant hand forward to activate the light momentarily. A target of opportunity presents. You fire before you can move your non-dominant hand, which is now cut by the gas escaping from the cylinder gap. Or is there some special revolver mounted light doctrine? The best I've seen was a grip mounted light over the right side of the frame, but I think it's only for S&W J frames. |

Recently picked up a Colt SAA in .357, 5.5” barrel. It’s one of the 1971 NRA commemorative guns. Seems unfired. I took off the NRA logo grips and installed an old set of Colt black eagle grips. Should make a fine shooter.
