I picked up my first FN pistol yesterday... the FNX 45 Tactical FDE. Cabelas had it in stock and on-sale. They just got the pistol in 2 days before I picked it up.
For 45, I love the 15 rounds and can't wait to get it to range in the next week. Luckily I already have an Obsidian 45. :) It will be the new bump in the night gun. |

Trigger is not great but I love mine anyway

Outstanding host
Are you thinking of running a red dot? |

I just put a Holosun 508t on my FNX 45 Tac tonight. Perfect size in my opinion. I really like the FNX. Trigger doesn’t feel great but I always get good results when shooting it. I shoot it suppressed with a Dead Air Ghost. The optic I took off of it was dirty from suppressed shooting. Be prepared to clean your optic often.

It's a pain to get on and especially off - the SF's don't seem to like the FN rails (or pretty much any rails) besides the Glocks, which they jump on and off of. |

Any luck finding left handed OWB holsters w/ sight? Looking more like needing to go with leg holster...?

God Bless Texas. Fuck you haters.

I wouldn't pay more than $50 per mag; you can occasionally find them in the $40-$45 range.
I have 22 of them, so a few dollars off adds up. ![]() |

You can go basic; or go all out with fabric wrap, liner, etc... If you want a fabric they don't have or if they don't list your light they do send-ins. |

View Quote So i dropped $ on my first pistol can and did it E-file for the 45. what gun did i pick? FNX 45. So i was all over for holsters. i carry full size appendix with other guns, so i hit tier 1 concealed. im slimming but more dad bod. point blank, i got a small gut. so sitting for a long time isnt a good idea for a full size. loosen the belt and bring the hulk. that said, standing.. well i have a few full size guns that i throw in the middle so im familiar with the size.. tier 1 concealed was the holster i went with for CCW with the X300. i plan on standing a lot when i put it on. |

I just bought a BladeTech belt holster for mine. I often carry OWB under a jacket this time of year. It works fine.

I love mine. It may soon be my only 45acp. An O-ring available at Lowe’s (Danco #41-Plumbing section) will keep the thread protector one.
I’ll try to edit this post with the ones I use when I leave this Dr appt. |
