Excellent. Now mail it to ME!!!!!!
Congrats! That's on my "want" list of pistols. I've got an M9 and an Inox 92FS. |
|
After registering it, I received an e-mail from Beretta about my free optics plate. I went with the Burris/Vortex/Doctor plate. Probably going to use a Vortex Viper.
|
|
Its on my next to buy list.
Even though, i already have a 92 & 96 |

Nice, congrats on the pistol.
How is the new short-reset trigger? Are you able to describe how it compares to a standard 92 series trigger? Any chance you have experience with a Sig SRT for comparison? I'm quite interested to hear how this trigger feels. |

View Quote Well, I just did a comparison of the reset of the M9A4, M9A3, two 92FSs, 92X Performance, a Wilson Combat P320, SIG P320 X-Five Legion, and a SIG P226 Legion. The lightest and shortest reset was with the P226 Legion and the 92X Performance. The SIG P320 X-Five Legion has the longest reset. The M9A3, M9A4, and the 92s were about the same. Overall, the M9A4 and M9A3 triggers are as nice as the triggers on my Wilson Combat 92G Brigadier Tactical and 92G Elite LTT. The trigger on the M9A3 and M9A4 are nicer and have a better feel that those on the standard 92s. I hope this helped in some way. Maybe some others will chime in. |

That's actually really disappointing that the M9A4 trigger isn't really noticeably better than the M9A3 trigger, given that Beretta goes out of their way to talk about (and I quote) the "enhanced short reset Xtreme Trigger System" in the M9A4. |

View Quote The P226 Legion and 92XP have shorter/lighter resets than the 92G LTT? Does your 92G LTT have Langdon's trigger bar in it (I presume it does)? I'm amazed if someone figured out a way to do it shorter than LTT's OTB. Lighter I could maybe see. But shorter? I've got three of the LTT trigger bars in 3 different 92s (BrigTac, NP3 92C, and 92 Combat). The reset is stunningly crisp and short on all three. |

View Quote All in all, it is a nice trigger system, much better than the triggers used in the standard 92s. To me, it is as nice as the trigger in the 92X Performance. I like the trigger contour on the M9A4 better. Update: I did a little more comparison between the M9A3 and the M9A4 triggers. Although very similar, the reset on the M9A4 is slightly less. It also appears to have a slightly lighter trigger pull in DA and SA. Of course, I cannot confirm this as I do not have a gauge. I have read that the M9A3 has a DA pull of 12 lbs and a SA pull of about 5 lbs. I cannot find any pull specs on the M9A4 trigger as of yet. If you are looking at getting the M9A4, do it. You would not be disappointed. |

If they made a compact version I'd be all over it. Just bought the 92X Compact a few weeks ago. Love it.

Does the E4 have the same threaded barrel as the E3 does? What else is different on it compare to the E3 besides the red dot base?

It's on my to buy list. I'm only concerned about how high the red dot sits. Back up irons aren't really going to be a thing on this one.
Granted I can't say I ever use my irons on my current pistols. Personally I'd like a px4 milled for a red dot as well. I know Langdon makes them I just haven't ordered one or found one. |

Quoted: I wasn't being critical. My question was sincere. Do your 92s have an LTT Optimized Trigger Bar? View Quote As I bought this second-hand, I cannot definitively say that it does or does not. Judging from what the LTT Optimized Trigger Bar is supposed to do, mine may still have the factory bar in it. |

Mine are based on feel I got on each trigger. Other people's comparisons may be different. For starters, I do NOT have an LTT 92. However, I do have a 226SAO Legion & a 92X Performance... the 226SAO Legion has a shorter reset of those two. Again, I do not have a 92 with any LTT goodies on it, but I cannot imagine a reset getting any shorter than the 226SAO Legion; it resets immediately. . Take that FWIW Cool gun, OP. I have an M9A3 sitting next to me as I type... wish it had the front slide serrations if nothing else. |

Thanks for the write-up OP. Looks like they did a better job with the frame anodizing color on these.

Mine is in the state but Fedex won't deliver until Monday . I wish I could get the serial early so I can order the plate.

Picked up today, based on new sights and new grips I'm glad I sold my A3 for it. Got my plate card in, just need it to get here.

KyGunCo had the 18rd one up today for $899 and I was lucky enough to snag one. I sold my A3 for it as well. Only disappointing thing is I realized the A4 is a G only model. I prefer the F setup myself. |
|
The next pistol I buy will be the M9A4. The squared off trigger guard compared to the rounded one on the 92x GR is the deciding factor. I will be waiting for it in black though.

Anyone know if these RDO models have compatible safeties with previous gens? Such as using an existing G de cocker to change a 92X/M9A4 F safety?
|
|
Just got to hold one and check it out at the LGS. Its...grippy...in a good way. I was thoroughly impressed with it. Fit my hand extremely well. So now I may be on the hunt for one. The $1k price tag though it tough to stomach.

I know I used the regular g-conversion on a 92x but haven’t tried yet on the RDO version. I will guess it will work fine but would like confirmation too. |

Anyone's A4 fit their A3 holster? Probably a dumb question but with the sight being different I'm just wondering.

@jrs93accord
Did you get your email yet for the plate? I think your 4 weeks is past or close. I'm at 4 weeks in 5ish days. |

Got my M9A4 and registered it, and sent the request to Beretta for an RMR optic plate. Guessing it will be a while before I get it, though.

I worked a trade yesterday at the gun shop for a new M9A3 that had just come in. Nice pistol! The owner hadn't heard about the A4 yet.

More and more companies aren't shipping rifles with BUIS for the same reason. Either people aren't going to use them or the people who might actually need BUIS are going to replace them with something more robust than the one's they would have included. |

Quoted: Are the frames really that different in color or is it just the lighting? View Quote Frames are really that different in color. I just sold my M9A3 for the M9A4. The A3 had a very, very light shade of FDE frame to where it almost looked kind of silver like. The A4 frame has a burnt bronze color to it. |

Thinking of trading in my unfired M9A1 in and putting that towards the M9A4.
Got to handle one at my local shop - it's pretty slick... |

Beretta should send you an email after you register it with the title, "This will go well with your new M9A4". In the email there will be a picture/link to redeem your free optics plate. |
