Last week Kenzie’s Optics had the Holosun 507k x2 in stock and with a little digging, I found a coupon code for 12% off my order and free shipping. These little sights are hard as hens teeth to find and $260 shipped was a great deal, so I purchased it. Now I needed a gun to go with it. I wanted a Hellcat after shooting my buddies with the Romeo zero, but did not want to use a mounting plate or dremel off the extra nubs on the slide. I could not find one at a decent price anyway. This NIB XL with the gray frame and manual safety was listed on a local forum. 45 minutes later and $625, she was mine. The Holosun is a direct fit and literally to 2 minutes to install. Range time Thursday (hopefully).

I carried a RMR’d G26 for several years before moving to a regular Sig 365. I missed the red dot on my gun and wanted another, but not the feel of a little brick on my side.  This little gun feels like it is not even on my hip. The 507k is a great fit and looks right at home on the gun. It is a very nice compact package.

Very nice! I have a P365X and have a P365XL coming tomorrow with a manual safety. I had to Back order a HS507K-X2 from Midway, so the wait begins. Nice find on the 507K with that coupon.

*Edit* I found one at Amazon and it should be here Saturday.

Awesome! I just ordered a 507K x2 two days ago for my P365XL and was able to order a second P365XL on Palmetto last night which has already shipped. I plan on picking up another 507K but looking forward to this set up.

How was installing the Holosun? Pretty straight forward?

I read you can add a manual safety to the xl. With a kit.

Is this accurate?

yep, Osage and Midwest might have the kit, if not you can buy the parts separately. You can either modify your grip or buy a new one with the safety cutout. There are some threads with details over at sigtalk that will walk you through it.

Ok, just ordered one for my P365xl.

Anybody else find the big Holosun logos annoying?  Might have to rub it off.  Excited for the optic though!

Takes two minutes tops.

1. Take slide off the gun
2. Remove two screws at rear of slide (this will release the rear sight and plate cover)
3. Turn slide over, attach Holosun with supplied screws and reassemble.

It took me longer to type this than the install.

Yes it is. You can see them with ease and they do not crowd the window like suppressor height sights. I actually find the dot faster because it is more like using the sights for normal shooting.

Now you just need a tactical development rail and a TLR7.

The glass is crystal clear.  BOTH of my Trijcon RMR’s have a green tint and they cost 40% more.

Awesome, thanks!

I don’t get why their competitors don’t have the rear notch.  Would have ordered a different one by now if they did.

Yes. I have the same set up (except a short grip on mine) and the rear sight is great. My 507k with the circle dot fits right on the front sight.

The rear helps me find it as this is the first time I’ve shot with a dot and put in training. Took a few hours but now I’m already as fast as I am with irons. I’m a competition shooter and I’m fast with irons. Dots are better.

Circle dot looks bigger in real life

How low does the TLR-7 sit on the rail compared to the trigger guard?

I did 50 feet. It means I’m just hitting a touch lower out to anything I imagine I’d use it for.

There is optic over bore height to think about but it’s less significant than on a rifle. But at point blank it hits about an inch low
