Bought it in the EE here in 2013, it was like new, the seller said he was the original owner and maybe 100 rounds...
I kept it for a while and put another 100 rounds, maybe, sold it to my best friend, he never shot it. He called me last week and asked if I wanted my 30S back....I jumped on it. It aint leaving again.... I installed Meprolights in 2014 and Wolff springs, also Glock 3.5 connector. The sights are a little dim now, but will work. I am planning to have the slide machined for a RDS and maybe some more Gucci upgrades.... Glad to have it back  |

What sights worked best for you, 9mm frame or 45 frame sights?

My son has one and says he's not a fan, and is thinking about selling his. He has a Glock 21 and I'm trying to get him to keep the 30s to have a downsized gun that takes the same mags.
Now I'll get to tell him how people always regret parting with them.

Yes big regrets here, that is why I jumped to get it back home. Am I calling it my favorits pistol, no, that is the 19 and 43X, but it does shoot the big .45 ACP and will be used mainly for traveling and will stay in my motor home |

I bought a used 30s at a gun store near me for $385. Looked like it hadn’t been shot very much at all, came with 3 mags. I’ve always wanted a 30 and couldn’t pass this one up. I really like it, although the recoil is snappier than I expected. Still a great pistol and I don’t think I’ll ever get rid of mine. I do need to upgrade the sights though.

Well they had a sale on used guns when I got it. 15% off all used handguns because he was trying to clear out inventory to make room for more stuff. I bought it in October of 2018. I used to live real close to that gun store and would regularly go by to look for stuff. I’ve since moved but still try to run up there two or three times a month now. With this latest run on guns and ammo, their used inventory has been slim. |
