Has anything had experience with the Mecanik MO1 red dot?

I was interested until I saw it has a bottom loaded battery just like the RMR, no thanks. With all the newer side loading battery options out there why copy the RMR's 10+year old battery design? I'll go with the Holosun EPS Carry for whenever that and the METE Pro gets released, since I run 509Ts on all my MOS Glocks. I am all in on closed emitter RDS now, even though it barely rains where I live lol.
