I bought a bunch of these when they first came out, then decided they were a solution to a problem that didn't exist.  I dug them out of my random-stuff bin, and found it hard not to like them.  I like how easy they are to take apart, and I like that the spring is 17-7 instead of music wire.

What is the group's opinion on them?

They are fine, but I still prefer metal mags.

It is, however, an increasingly polymer world we live in.

I've read about people having problems with them but that seems to be early batches mostly. Other people report having no issues with them at all. Kind of like ETS. Some people have lots of problems with them, other people have none. I like them both but OEM is hard to beat for sheer reliability.

I'd care a lot more about MagPul magazines if OEM magazines were $50 a piece. At $18-22, I just won't bother.

I have a bunch of G19 PMag's and have had issues with most of them in OEM Glock Gen 3  frames and my Polymer 80 frames. The followers are the issues. Sometimes they PMags will cause the slide to lock back with one round still in the magazines or it won't locK the slide back at all. I have also had feeding issues with them too. I have had good luck with the G26 12 round PMag's, those work fine.

PMag's are fine for range use but I'll stick to OEM magazines for everyday uses.

I only have a few of the G19 mags and have had zero issues with them.

I also would never use them for anything other than a range session.

If OEM works why mess with it?

Great range mags when you can get them on holiday sale and grab a bunch to preload before a range trip.

My son is just starting out on his own and has limited "gun stuff" expendable income. He uses them exclusively and has not ran into any issues. I'm a OEM guy but have shot with him on many occasions and will use whichever magazine is loaded. I have experienced no issues during our shooting sessions.

I have no idea how many P Mags I have for my various Glocks but it's a bunch. Maybe I'm lucky but I've never had a single issue and many of them have been used a BUNCH.

Having said the above  I use (I refuse to use the word run) nothing but factory Glock mags for carry.

Admittedly, I only tried some of the early release mags, but I didn't care for them. Not that they didn't work, just didn't like the look and feel. I'm biased because I've been using OEM Glock mags since the Gen 1 era and the Magpuls just don't solve any problems for me.

Oddly enough, I'm a fan of their 5.56 mags.

Ok, I guess the they are for range use only, then.

Thanks guys.

I have several of them in G19 and I don't notice them
when out shooting. They cycle in my G26/G19.
Never have hiccuped. I don't use them as SD mags though.

Very reliable for me unless shooting steel cased.

I use them in local competitions and GSSF with great success.

Factory mags for carry though

I bought a bunch of the 140mm mags when  Carry Optics became a thing and have a metric shit ton of rounds through them with no issues with a variety of ammo and hand loads. They work well, however for serious use there is no reason to use them as OEM magazines can be had cheaply when on sale or in bundles.

Search and ye shall find, been discussed ALOT.

I only have 17 and 21 rounders.

Run 100% with everything except steel.

No problem carrying with them either.

They will wear out faster than OEM (feed lips).

My experience with P mags is completely positive
When I first moved to a free state ( after surviving the gun owner hell  that is New York for nearly half a century) in 2015, during one of the politically fueled magazine buying frenzies I bought a few full capacity P mags as oem was-scarce  and expensive at the time they have been 100% reliable since, enough to be the mag in my home defense gun

If you do not use aluminum case ammo they are great.

2 dozen plus pmags of various capacities, no problems at all with any ammo including steel/alum case.

Any time I carry it has a Pmag in it because Glock didn’t make a 12 round 26 mag until they started sticking the +2 extension on and charging almost twice the price. If it’s not that version of the mag then they are normally nearly the same price as OEM so I stick with Glock brand.

Never had an issue with it though whereas I did have issues early on with the oem 26 mag with a Pearce +2 extension.

I've only ever had one issue out of the gross I have. Apparently Magpul has an endmill trim the magazine at some point during their process and the endmill chattered causing small fractures. I took a pic and submitted a claim and magpul took care of it. They were actually more than helpful .

The only issue I ever had was the steel cased Russian ammo thru them.  Other than that, they work fine with brass.

I'd say realistically 50-60% of the AR mags I own are PMAG's. They proven extremely reliable in my stuff. I have had problems with their Glock mags locking slides back in some firearms, though factory Glocks seem to take them just fine. As such, their Glock mags are range only for me.
