I have been upgrading my carry gear and the last thing I need is a carrier for a spare mag.  I am currently using a "universal" kydex IWB carrier that I got from Amazon, I believe.  It works, but is probably bulkier than it needs to be and the plastic clip leaves something to be desired.  What kind of carriers do you guys recommend?

I am used to IWB, but am not opposed to OWB if it is a superior product.

My current holster used a DCC monoblock clip, and it seems to work well, but I am open to other attachment methods.

I am using a 1.5" Kore belt.

How well does that clip hold it in place?  Is it solid?

Thanks, but I have too much crap in my pockets already.  I want something to carry on my belt at 8:00 (I carry my gun at 4:00).

Thanks.  I ordered one in IWB format to try out.

I am open to other suggestions to try out if anyone else has them.

I have Comp-Tac's for my G48 and G43. Very low profile and secures to the belt very well

I've got the Single Mag Pouch - Belt Clip

I've been using a Blue Force Gear Ten Speed Double Pistol Belt Pouch for the last year and a half and like it a lot more than I expected to (they make a single mag pouch too).  I bought it because I was looking for a pouch that could carry 1911 or Shield (original) mags.

https://www.blueforcegear.com/double-pistol-belt-pouch.html

Side note: Because of the Shield 8rnd mag design (with the plastic spacer that extends past the rear of the mag body) and the single row of stitching separating the mags you need to stage them.  Simple enough, put the rearmost mag in first then the front mag and the extension spacer sits on top of the rear mag.  The Shield Plus mag spacer looks the same.

Any idea how long they typically take to ship?

I ordered on 4/9 and still have not received a shipping notice.

Edit:  Disregard.  I saw this at the bottom of the order confirmation:

Please allow 7-10 business days for production.

It doesn't look like Comp-Tac has a size for the Shield Plus.

Yeah I see that. Looks like there is not that much out there for a Sheild plus. The Comp-Tac has a tension screw. Maybe something close in size would work.

Finally got my Kytex carrier today.  It is definitely more compact and comfortable than the generic Amazon carrier that I have been using.  The clip also seems solid.  So far so good!
