So I bought a M9a3 g model, made in Italy, a few weeks ago. I just put 150rds through it today for the first time. This evening as I was cleaning  it, I happened to set aside the barrel and all of a sudden, the locking block fell out of its grooves under the barrel. It was easy enough to pop back in, and the gun seems fine now in a function check after reassembly.

This being my first Beretta, should I be concerned that the locking block just fell out? Or, should I just rock on with it since nothing seems amiss with it after popping it back in?

My 92fs does this and is very reliable.  My Italian m9a3 hasn't done it yet but it wouldn't surprise me if it did later.  They are made to be removed, so as long as its assembled correctly you shouldn't have an issue.
