I can fix it. My Dad's a TV repair man and has an awesome set of tools.

I'd like to know the story of how it got shot. Shooting at it on purpose to see what the damage would be or was someone holding it or wearing it when it got shot?

Looks like the frame is not damaged, i would try and mount up a new slide and shoot it.

I’m guessing a butter bar set it down on a sand bag then used the sandbag to support a M4.

I had a guy bring an M9 into my armory in AFG on two seperate occasions asking for a new one because his "just wouldn't shoot". We did a full inspection and range test and although it was ugly and had been re-arsenaled, it was functionally fine and refused to give him a new pistol but did clean it and replace the recoil spring. A few weeks later he turned the same pistol in with "shrapnel damage from a VBIED". He said the gun took all of the damage while he didn't receive a scratch. Oddly enough, the 5 holes in the gun looked suspiciously like those made by 5.56 rounds. His 1SG got a call and we didn't hear much from him after that.
