I'd like to find a nice set of checkered cocobolo grips for my Dan Wesson Valor. Any suggestions?

Hogue wood grips. I bought 2 sets of them. I can get you a pic this evening after work.

I do like Hogue grips and I've bought their cocobolo before, but they vary dramatically in color and grain.

There used to be a website years ago where you could see pictures of the actual grips you would be getting. I know that's the case with Esmeralda, but there was another site, too.

What's wrong with those? They give you the look of rosewoods plus they are more aggressive than wood. I think they look great on your gun!

Fwiw I have cream colored vz diamonds on my pro and love them.

I’ve always like walnut on a classic two tone.

These are Woodcaliber on Challis bushings, Wilson Combat screws.
