Super cool that it even wears the "LAPD" in the serial, vs just some stamp on the side, or no badging at all.

I don’t know what the specific number was, but I know there were about 500 pistols ordered. It wouldn’t hurt to contact Staccato and ask if you can order a C2 with the 4 inch barrel. @ruin |

I ended up ordering a C2 through the Hero program. I’ll scoop an RMR Type 3 for it at some point. |

Very cool gun, disgusted Staccato would make a firearm specifically for a California agency that assists in the denial of law abiding citizens rights to possess the same firearm though.

It’s no secret that when the U.S. military, and or large law enforcement agencies issue or carry a certain brand or model of sidearm, it influences what private citizens purchase and carry.

One AR manufacturer (forget which one it is dammit), will only sell these douchebags the "Gay-Model" version to these certain agencies and states... The AR's will only come with the same exact features "they" mandate upon their citizens such as goofy stocks, milled bayo lugs, 10 round mags, long barrels, etc. but again, I forget who they are. Still funny as fuck though! |

@adam556 what magazine and basepad is that? Thanks.
I was guessing it was the 126mm/17 round magazine with a 10-8 base pad. I just ordered my staccato C2 and it has the stainless barrel and X serrations like yours. |

View Quote Just so you are aware, you can use the old cheapie 20 round plastic base plates on 17 round magazines with your C2 as well. They fill the gap perfectly and are "flush". The 10-8 basepads are very nice though, I have a handful of them. Most of them require a little filing of the retainer plate to get them to fit, but the bonus is they are rock solid. But in the event you just want a clean appearance, the old plastic basepad will do the trick. |

Take a look at the black 20 round magazines on their website. They offer them with both options. The Dawson aluminum and their in house made plastic. Yep, and for that reason I will never spend my money on a Staccato. I doubt there are many manufacturers that would not build them guns. It’s a huge customer. LAPD has approved 1911’s forever. Kimber built SAS guns and Springfield did the Long Beach Operators. I wouldn’t be surprised if there weren’t a bunch of runs that haven’t been publicized. They are big enough that they have a lot of pull. All of this seems out of place in Tech. Maybe you guys should start a GD thread about how Staccato has lost a customer. |

Stacatto's as duty guns for cops. I guess they didn't go with Koths because they are revolvers.
Seriously though, how did the procurement department justify the cost over other duty rated weapons or were they just issued to the brass? |

I'm guessing maybe an older SWAT guy made it up to the top and made sure people could purchase a 1911. It stinks though that normal California residents can't buy the thing but the rest of the country can (or at least most of them). |
