Had a $200 gift card burning a hole in my pocket and bought this Gen 4 glock 34 for $380 otd.

Later in horror I realized that I bought a U.S.A. made glock.

I feel so dirty.

It's a Glock, of course you should toss that un-ergonomic 2x4.

Honestly, I'd prefer Austrian.  No particular reason except I also like the one ones and when I think of Glock, I think of Austria.

They really do feel like a 2x4
Either way that's a good deal. Nice trade fodder.

If I was going to buy another Glock (I'm not) I'd want it made in Austria

Gotta love GT distributors.

I’ve had a mix of Austrian and USA.
They both work.

Do you actually not like it or did you make this thread soley to brag about a $180 G34?

That's awful. Send it to me for disposal.

Dam. That was a deal.  I would have grabbed it also.  My 34 is my favorite target pistol.  RMR’d of course.

Do the gen 4's have the same issues as gen 3 USA made Glocks ? Having issues with my slide channel or the slide lock it's self.

I’ve been pretty careful in the past to make sure I always bought Austrian.

Think I was blinded by the $380 price tag for a like new 34 and didn’t notice.

My other glocks.

They had another Gen 2 19 but it of course had some wear and i already have a Gen 2.

Glock 19 gen 3
Glock 19 gen 2
Glock 43
Glock 48
Glock 30SF
Glock 20 gen 4

Thinking of having it machined for a red dot. I don’t have any pistol equipped with one.

If it's GT Distributors, they had a bunch in store for $339 a month or two ago.

I could have a $370 gift card but that doesn't mean it's a $10 Glock, just that I only had to pay $10 out of pocket

That G43 is American made.

The only Glock I had rusting issues with was a USA made G-42. You can't convince me that the slide finishes on US made Glocks are equal to Austrian made ones. I have a spare G-43 that is USA made and it resides in the safe as a backup.

They have random selection in stores that is not on their webpage.

They also put stuff on gunbroker that is not always on their webpage or in stores.

Those 34s were at the Dallas location.  They also had unissued ones for more money.  They were not MOS.  They were all gone when I was in there a few weeks ago.

They do however have unissued G17.4 on their webpage now.

My wife and I both carry Austrian G-43s. IIRC, all of the first G-43s on the market were Austrian.

Austrian 43 here as well. I also prefer the Austrian guns over the USA version.

It may just be me, but I feel like “Glock Perfection” peaked with the “frying pan finish” Gen 3 guns.

I’ve had several of the Austrian proof marked G19’s that came in after Obama’s first election and they had better fit and finish than anything I’ve seen in a Gen 4 or 5 gun.

When did they stop doing the tougher feeling finish for parkerizing? Got a new 48 mos and it is parkerized. All my duty glocks up to gen 4 22 have had the harder shiny finish.

I have both Austrian and Georgia Glocks spanning different generations and can't see any difference between them other than the markings.

Maybe I'm stating the obvious, but G43's cannot be imported
from Austria. They do not meet import points. There is another,
but I forget which one (never been interested, thinking it is a .380)

I have a bunch of Glocks, but two or three are USA, one is my G43 which I like.

So Austrian marked G-43s are just parts made in Austria and assembled in the US?

I suppose. But a ready made G43 cannot be imported.
It doesn't meet ATF import points.

I think you are mistaking the G-42 for the G-43. The G-42 doesn't make the import points.

Austrian G-43s come in disassembled, and are assembled in the US, but they are 100% Austrian parts. "Assembled in the US" not "Made in the US".

I never look at country of origin, but all of my Glocks are Austria, luck of the draw.  But since all of mine are Austria and I have incurable OCD, will look for Austria Glocks in the future thanks to this thread.
