Can I do the LEM conversion without it. I swear I did on an HK45 a long time ago.

Sweet baby Jesus on fire. Gonna need a damn lawyer and a miracle to pull my ass outta this.
|
I'll find out next week when my LEM kit comes from HK.

I would get it or make your own. I struggled with one for hours and finally did install it but like I said, I struggled.

I bought a pair when I had my P30 and can say, they are worth it. You can make your own but depending on the quality of steel of the pliers and the tools you have, it can take a while. It is much easier with the tool.

Be the change you want in this world.

I’ve sent mine to two other ARFCOMers for their LEM conversions. If people want it, just ship it back when you’re done.

I equate GD as the Westboro Baptist Church of arfcom: fun to mess with on occasion, full of ignorant bastards, and they always try to turn a good thing into something bad.
|
I've done the TRS two times without the specialty tools.
The first time it went in instantly on the first try. I thought people posting their troubles were posting their Ls. The second time, the struggle was real. |

in my mind yes, if you own HK pistols and are going work on them, it and a good set of Metric punches. I would not try it without them. I did one and decided never again.

View Quote I just did the whole Gray Guns Short Reset conversion but didn't need to mess with the trigger return spring. I'd order from HKParts but my credit card was compromised last time I ordered from em. |

Use a prepaid card from Walmart.
Spend the leftover change on food/gas. |

Not a must, but it does make it easier.
I did a couple without them and managed just fine, but it did raise my blood pressure. When I ordered parts for my vp9sk, I bought the pliers because they were on sale. They do help. |

I bought a cheap pair of small needle nose pliers from harbor freight and made my own. It was not very hard to make and it does make installing that spring much easier.
I have installed match triggers in like 3-4 of mine and the pliers made it much easier. |

The pliers are a must have item.😉 |

Good, bad, I'm the guy with the gun.

Clip the ends of the red WD40 spray-straw and fit them over the ends of the spring (effectively lengthening them about 1/2"). You can then easily fit the ends of the spring over the frame/behind the trigger while positioning the coil of the spring with the axle with whatever tool you have. Once you have the slide-release-axle in position you can easily pull-off the straw pieces. Makes it levels easier! Only works for the hammer-fired models though.

I made my own with a cheap set of pliers and a cylindrical Dremel bit.
