Will the lcp mags work in lcp II and vs versa?

I think the lcp mags will work in the lcp 2, but won’t hold the slide back when empty.  

Not sure if lcp 2 mags work in the 1st gen guns

The mag bodies and springs are the same, different follower and baseplate.

Work in either gen LCP but gen 1 mag does not hold open LCP2 slide.

I find 2 packs of LCP2 mags to be the cheapest price per mag so I use them often in my regular LCP's.
