They seem to have very similar features, do you have a preference between the two? Surprisingly the DW custom is no slouch. It's all tool steel components and im extremely happy with their work. The pro I had a hard time racking the slide when I first got it so it's more of a hard fit other than that their both pretty even |

A most excellent 1911, Sir! The Color case hardening mate extremely well with the fossilized mammoth grips!
The engraving is very nice! A few questions. What make is this, and who did the work? A suggestion, the engraving begs for a name to be placed on the slide. May I suggest a name? "The Bone" to accentuate the case color and mammoth? Of course it would have to be engraved in Spanish. "El Hueso" |

Older Springfield Loaded model. Replaced the one piece guide rod with NOS USGI. Just added the Chen shooter installed magwell (installed tight but easily). Everything about it feels great. Shoots well, too. I need to replace the sights at some point as they are very dim.

My original post in 2012 went dark with Photobucket so I'm adding it again.
I know you guys are going to cringe but I love the gun. Hopefully it doesn't trigger too many of you  This is my STI Elektra in .45 acp. They came with Heinie straight 8 tritium night sights lowered into a channel on the top of the slide to aid concealability. The gun has been extremely reliable and very accurate. I wish I had a second one.

He did the following: FCS added Harrison rear sight Brushed stainless steel Shortened the factory trigger Dehorned the rear of the slide and hammer Slide stop shortened and the frame chamfered Cut the barrel flush with the bushing and recrowned the barrel Ed Brown Carry Thumb Safety |
