thanks man, pretty jealous of your two railed guns though. My LGS has had a railed pro on the shelf for months with a ziptie through the trigger and hammer. I wish I could make it mine.

All cleaned up after that weekend. Of course the VZ grips I ordered for the class showed up the first Monday after.  I like these tactical diamonds a lot more, and I also appreciate being able to remove my MSH pin without my grips

I don't know why I even buy other guns. 1911s are where it's at for me. 200 rounds though today, including a bunch from a new shooter. I had her shooting a quarter at 7 yards within an hour with this gun.

May need a threaded/railed version at some point soon.

Grip change on my most favorite gun. Digging the no-frills, all-business look these give it.

That is their coolest model IMO.

I like the grip choice too. Utilitarian but very attractive. They match the gun well.

Huh? The beavertail is the grip safety, is the beavertail. It's a separate piece. Just so happens to be fitted very well on his gun and the seem between frame and beavertail is hard to discern, but you can see it in one of his pictures.

Awesome gun.

Yep, that is one of the best blended GS from SACS I have ever seen. To be honest, usually they aren't that great with it, they look good, but not as good as that one.

I've only seen my buddies and this one. Both Hillsdale models.
Had a Thunder Ranch Commanche, but had to sell it.

Beautiful
Thank you, long story about this pistol.  In the late 70’s I bought this new in the box from a gun store in Idaho.  I shot the shit out of it for about six years and got bored.  I traded it in for something.  About five or so years later I started starred shooting USPSA in Boise Idaho .  I met Jim Wall of Milt Sparks Leather and we shot together.  I told him about this old Colt Ace I had and where I traded it in.  Long story short he bought it from the gun store.  I verified that info and bought it back.  I sent it away and had it cleaned up and is how you see it.  Today I bought two magazines for it,  $250 bucks for original mags!

Got my Custom Carry back from Rob Schauland of Alchemy Custom Weaponry on Christmas Eve. It was there for a little rehab and facelift. Rob added one of his mainspring housings checkered at 25 LPI, a Novak thumb safety, re-blued her, and graciously fit a new barrel link and plunger tube among other "little" things. My photos don't do the bluing job justice, the pistol is beautiful. Grips are dark cocobolo from Wood Caliber.
