As the title says. Single stack.   Any recomendations for shops?  It will be a cheap gun so doesn’t need to be Nighthawk.  Who would you recommend and photos of your project appreciated.

It’ll look like this pretty much

Never used that company personally but lots of pictures

70 series only. I dumped a new Defender at a substantial loss because I didn't factor this.

Green Tick seems both reasonable and good quality.  Interested in hearing your impression (and pics).

No they're taking forever. Not real thrilled about it. They also ignored repeated email inquiries til I called and asked.

They told me on July 26 I'd likely be looking at 2-3 weeks total.

We can race.  I liked their Youtube vids and the price was good so I sent mine in.  The website claims 7-10 days.  I am a week in…

To be fair I believe the hold up is because of the DLC coating. They send large batches out to be done at a given time.

Be interesting to see how long yours takes.

I had my Dan Wesson done by Chpws for a 407K. I am happy and it turned around in 2 weeks. I have seen some pretty bad stuff pictured online done by them, so YMMV

Nighthawk but the cost is not cheap. I have a Wilson and Guncrafter I would like to get done, just not sure I want to pay nighthawk.

i had a springfield operator done by nighthawk  it was very well done but it wasn’t cheap and it wasn’t fast   and by not cheap i mean like i could have just bought a glock 19 and put an optic on it for what it cost me

have you thought about seeing if you can just find a staccato C?  (not the C2, the C)   they’re discontinued but come up   i thought about buying one since i’m headed to a 10 round state in the next few years but realized for all that cost i’ll just carry a Glock 26   especially since it looks like the 26 MOS is around now

If you have a shop you trust, just have that shop do the IOS cut (way cheaper/faster).  It’s just a wedged dovetail… doesn’t require CNC or any threading.

I did it on a desktop machine and it came out pretty good.

Key words, "shop you can trust", don't know any of those locally and difficult to find folks you can trust with your 1911, heck I can't get through a drive thru at a fast food joint without something being messed up, trust with a 1911 is Way more tough, lol.

I think not. I’m going to run an RMR on an SRO (ironless) IOS plate.

Package delivered today 10-16.
Shot a few pics and reassembled.  Visually the product is very nice.  I chose Graphite Black Cerakote which seems to match the Tisas finish.  The Cerakote job by Green Tick looks perfect.  Milling also looks perfect.  I did not send in my optic with the slide and I literally had to lubricate the optic cut to fit my optic.  I did opt for a 407k vs the EPS because I will never carry this and I saved $100.  Slide cut included mounting screws which I used.

Total cost $144 milled/coated/returned plus $10.50 outgoing Priority Mail.  Sight in soon.  I forgot to mention, included is sight removal and reinstallation.

I chose the Holosun as it has a rudimentary rear sight built in.

Sad there’s got to be someone out there who’s either figured out a way to make a 80 work or close.

I would think with the plate like nighthawk you could simply add the hole to the plate then have plenty of space for the spring but I’m no engineer.

Looks like a great result imo.  I have the same 9mm Tisas and have been considering doing this. Your mention of the rear sight convinced me to go with a 407k, or maybe a 507k, for the donut of death. Maybe the newer 507k ACSS (dot). I have a slight astigmatism, but my RMRcc 6moa dot is not too out of focus for me.

After comparing, the EPS Carry's body sits lower, which would place the integrated rear sight lower as well. 407k/507k seems to align better with the front sight (elevation).

Turned out great imo.

I bought the pistol off EE, the price was right.   I was thinking Commander length would be better as I would be able to run IDPA with a weapon light and still make weight.  This worked out well anyway, super soft shooter, looks good.  Looking at the photos the color match difference is more obvious, but in person hard to tell.  I may try this again with the Girsan 2311 in commander length when they become available.

Please post how the POA and POI works out (elevation, with the 407 integrated rear sight).

That was the first thing I tested.  Using existing sights it shot a hair low, using front sight in middle of window it was slightly high.  Not enough for me to alter height of front sight.

I know you speculated that the delay was due to DLC. Any chance you were able to confirm the theory?

I'd like to have my Nighthawk cut for an EPS but if I'm waiting three months I may as well have an ios conversion done at NHC.

They did say it was due to DLC but there were also some other delays. If I was doing cerakote I'd probably use them again assuming the work is quality. I will post up in this thread when it comes, it's due on Monday.

I had to call and pretend I wanted to make an order to even talk to someone. They ignored multiple emails and I wasn't emailing every other day these were several weeks apart.

I am not sure Nameless is cutting 1911's yet as it says "out of stock"

I think the dilemma is which rear sight cut is on the slide, as some can extend in the area at the rear of the slide.  Greentick addressed that on the order form.

Came here to post "out of stock" after getting excited about sending my 9mm 1911 slide to them. Still not 100% convinced I need to keep the rear sight. It's something about the aesthetics. Placing the tiny optic, centered, directly over the slide serrations, maybe.

Just got a brand new 407k 6moa green (integrated rear sight, not too low) like OP's. Finally ready to send it all off to either Greentick or CHWPS. Now Nameless might be an option. I asked to be notified of when the 1911 milling is back in stock.
