I carried various Glocks appendix IWB for 20+ years.
Over a year ago, I transitioned to strong side IWB, I've tried various Glocks 23/22/35 repeatedly but they are just not as comfortable IWB as a 1911.
I give up, I'm stuck with carrying a 1911.

I'm in the same boat. I have carried lots of different glocks over the years and I'm back to the 1911 IWB.

I didn't mind carrying a glock19...just shot like shit with it.

Sticking with my 1911.

To your original point, I know what you mean.  I've added some serious winter weight and I went to put a glock 19 on at 4 o'clock IWB the other day and thought I'd applied a tourniquet to my guts. Put on an AIWB instead and felt much better. But, I can still put a 1911 anywhere I want IWB without discomfort.  Took a 19 and a 1911 out shooting over the weekend just to verify zero. Both a great guns, can't find a reason to ditch either one. Just different strokes.

I'm in the process of changing my carry from g19/g26 to a 1911. I'm breaking in right now and it shoots like a dream. Also the weight isn't uncomfortable (wasn't sure how it would be after a few years of the glocks).

I can see the pic on my phone and laptop.
Don't have imgur.
That pic was posted from my phone, I'll try using laptop with same pic I've previously posted on different site.

Looks like a Delta Elite in the pic? Serious carry pistol!

Yes it's a Delta Elite.
Also have 1911 Ruger in 10mm.

Well, I just got done trying on a few different holsters to carry my G19 to the ghetto for a family visit(step son moved into place that worries me).

Anyway, I just could not hide it. Pulled out the good leather, loaded up the 1911 commander, slid her in, and she disappeared.

We aren’t authorized to carry 1911s anymore but since I work plainclothes LEO I can carry about any other kind of sidearm.

I still prefer Glock for work and usually chose a G34 or G19 depending on the mission.

Off duty there’s usually a 1911 in my truck and one day when I retire the 1911 platform will probably become my edc.

For now lots of bullets, mounted SF light and commonality of mags is probably best.
