I got a great deal on this although I'm not sure exactly what's going on. Has anyone seen something like this or is it a frakengun?

Is it threaded onto the barrel? Could it be replaced with a [registered] suppressor?

Not quite as extreme, but pretty sure Volquartsen makes target grips for the MK II/III/IV pistols.
