Hello all.

I used a Compact Sig P320 frame to cut it down so I can fit a 320 Subcompact slide (3.6") on it. I think it turned out just fine, but the area that was cut is obviously a bit noticable.

What can you use to smooth out and polish the area where the cut is?

Fine-ish sanding block to blend it and a torch or heat gun to clean it up.

Heat can flow the polymer for a smoother finish. light touch-up with a torch or flat, heated blade may get you there.

Lightly sand with 400 grit, then 600 grit to remove the sanding marks - wet sanding will produce better results; go finer if you need to, but I doubt you need to go higher than 800 grit.  Then use polishing compound and a buffer wheel to polish and smooth to a final surface finish.

Thanks. I'll try that tomorrow. I have a dremel with a polish wheel.

I think Glock Store guy recommended wd40 and super fine grit sandpaper...

Probably not a good option.
Sand paper backed up by solid objects.
You make the objects as needed to help control the sanding process.
Even hardwood can work well.
