This is your standard blued 1922 FN 7.65 (.32 ACP) handgun with checkered wood grips.

All matching serial numbers 161371.

No other markings except the MR stamp on the trigger guard.

Thanks for any leads/help in identifying the history.

Stay strong, safe and well.

FN Browning Pistols by Anthony Vanderlinden

The prices are crazy right now, but there's a new version coming that I have on order.

I'll take your data and look in a second.

Ok. That's a Postwar gun, fairly late in the production sequence. They ran 1-180,000 from '46 to '75. Pre-war guns were actually 200,000+.

I don't see the MR, but I don't have time to really look deep right now.

Want to post some pics?

This also might go better in C&R than FN.

ETA: Mine has an MR on the trigger guard, too. However, mine is a wartime occupation gun.

Ok, digging deeper... it appears that earlier production guns had an [FN] (FN in a box) in the spot, but early in wartime it was changed to MR.

I don't know if/when it was changed again.
