I do not know these guns at all and my client wants to rehome it.

It was the 3,633rd that Colt made for Springfield.

I'll have pics up in a moment.

Need better photos to determine value. Also it was not made by Colt. It was made by US military's Springfield Arsenal located in Springfield, MA.

All the small parts made by Springfield Arsenal were stamped with S marks. You will need to complete disassemble the gun to see if those marks presented. It would be valued much more if all the parts were Springfield made. Also Springfield M1911 has unique magazine and walnut grip should have approx. 13 rows of checkering between double diamonds.

This is how an excellent condition Springfield M1911 should look like.

Yeah - Best pics I could muster at my office, and the gun wen home with him. I'll have him confirm the parts question.

Thanks!

The M1 DID NOT go home with him. How did I do?

Your M1 Garand receiver is late WW II Vintage. We need pics and part numbers on the other parts to tell you more. Any markings on the stock?

Detailed pictures of the Springfield are critical up close clear markings. As mentioned by mlin this is a Springfield made pistol ( if it turns out the frame is truly Springfield as well as all the small parts) and as such they are ( if all original) is quite valuable probably a roughly 2-3k value
