I have a PSA Dagger and sometimes it won’t eject- the spent case will still be the chamber with the slide locked (jammed) back. Should I replace the extractor or is it something else?

No. Happened on like 5th shot with brass case hand loads. My other slide has never had this problem with same ammo that I recall.

But the case was not stuck in the chamber. I can easily get it out but by shaking it. Thanks

Do you have a rmr on the slide? Is the right screw to long jamming up the extractor spring?

Try factory brass ammo before you start chasing rabbits down replacement parts holes this could get expensive quick and the problem may be staring you in the face the whole time.

To be precise it sounds like you had a failure to extract not eject.

A single incident should NOT result in some relentless search for a cause.

If you develop a pattern of repeated malfunctions different story

Yes you are correct thank you. It’s happened twice within a short period of time.

You have to also rule out the possibility of the reloads.  I would get some factory 115 and 124 ammo and see if you can reduplicate.  If not more than likely it is the reloads also on the rounds that failed to extract did they have any signs of overpressure?

Do you have an optic on top?  If so, I’d remove the optic snd try again.  Optic screws can be too long and impede the extractor.

Have you inspected the extractor face?  Is it damaged?

Lastly, try some factory ammo.

A fail to extract is 100% a mechanical problem and ahould be able to be explained.
