For you younger guys, I'll give you some history on the Dominator 1911 conversion.
It came out around 1984 and was first written up by Bob Milek Sr in Guns & Ammo magazine. I doubt Pachmayr actually manufactured the thing, but it was a single shot bolt-action conversion unit for 1911 pistol frames.
It bolts onto the frame using a screw passing upward through the pistol grip. Back in '84, handgun silhouette shooting was fairly popular as was hunting with single shot "hand-rifles" as many called them at the time.
The conversions were made in many calibers including .308, 7-08, 357 Maximum, 243 Win, 44 Rem Mag, 30-30, 35 Remington, .223, 7mmTCU, 22 Hornet, 7mmBR, and 375 Super Mag. It was also fairly popular to rebarrel them in alternate calibers.
They were available with both scope mounts and iron sights.
Below are some pics of a Dominator mounted on a RIA frame, chambered in 375 Super Mag.

ETA - Since it's a bolt action and you don't have a slide slamming back and forth, you can tune the 1911 trigger down to about 1 pound if you want. You don't need a fast reset either.
