If you remember please let me know. I would love a semi that works with snake shot.

Got a springfield champion Elite in .45 acp that cycles CCI snake shot just fine.  Doesn’t kick out empties quite as far as 230gr gold dots but does fine.

Have you tried a reduced power recoil spring?

Carrying snake shot is one of the reasons my usual hiking/fishing/kayaking gun is a 642 (1st shot is a shotshell); obviously it's a compromise but I'm usually OK with it for that use.

Ive had a few 1911s cycle snake shot (worn in Baers) and same with a shield 9mm. Never tried more than 2/3 in a row but with CCI it's not been an issue. get a reduced power recoil spring and try a few mags if that's the intended purchase.

I have also decided the rounds pattern like shit and I'd have to be inside shovel-killing distance to make it work, so I don't bother anymore.

If I was really worried about snakes (and will be when we go camping in the everglades eventually) I'll be buying a 410 revolver.

Glock 23 cycles the CCI birdshot. But I have not shot more than a few.

Interesting replies.

.45acp seems to run.

I had a Ruger P97 that would cycle the CCI .45 ACP snake shot rounds like grain through a goose. Was really cool if not a little useless.

I had a very worn in Walther P22 that would cycle rimfire ratshot

S&W 4006

I tried it one time and it ran through 10 of them without any issue. I would bet any 3rd gen Smith would be a good candidate.
