I would like to try the Glock 48 upper on my 43, but where to get one?

I’ve stalked the places I know, like EE and GB, and locally.  Nothing.  I’ve done a couple of internet searches but nothing.

Ideally I’d like a complete, optics ready upper.  I’m almost ready to buy a complete Glock 48 MOS to get it done, almost.

I do understand, its not the best time to do so.  Any help would be appreciated.

If y’all say its not worth it, let me know.  I’m more curious than anything.

My 48 shoots softer and more accurate than my 43x.  You should give it a try

I'd post in the hometown forum to see if someone will let you try theirs.  Be worth trying before buying.

The OEM ones on Ebay are selling for more than the pistol.

I have a 43 and 48 and have played with swapping them. I could see some merit to the longer slide/barrel, but not as much as the longer grip of the 48/43x.

And the capacity.

I carried the 43 for a couple years.  Now I carry the 43x.  And I have a 48MOS range toy.  For me, the 43 frame is too short and capacity sucks.  It needs a +2 baseplate to even be able to hang onto it and shoot it accurately.  By the time you got that, you're at the same size as the 43x/48 which can hold the 15rd mags.

Another difference is the 43X size MOS frame has a rail for a light.  Whenever the new tiny lights are finally available for these things, I'll probably swap my lowers between the 43X and 48MOS so I can carry with a light.

The pro gamer move is to buy a 43 and a 48 and swap the slides to whatever configuration you want.
