But why?
I could maybe see a 17 or 34 slide on a 19 frame. I can lock my grip in better on the 19 frame, and the longer barrel gives more velocity, along with the longer sight radius for people who need that. OTOH I can clear the shorter barrel out of any holster that would be appropriate for USPSA Production, Carry Optic, or any IDPA divsion, significantly faster. I wouldn't even consider putting a longer slide on my gun unless I was trying to shoot in USPSA open, in which case I wouldn't shoot with a Glock at all.

1. Because I don’t want a long slide Glock 19, I want what’s closest to a Glock 47
2. I already have a Glock 45, thus why I was asking. I want to use the frame I already have, “just get a Glock 17” doesn’t help me
3. It’s cheaper to buy a slide and barrel, than have to purchase a whole new gun.
4. I want that shorter dust cover look while still having the benefits of a G17
If people think it’s a stupid idea, then that’s fine, but it’s popular for a reason. I’m not someone who needs super deep appendix conceal, nor am I using it for that purpose. I already carry a Glock 45 fine.
