Looking for recommendations for what you are using as an owb holster for your gen5 g22.

Pistol is equipped with x300u and rmr, so has to be compatible with both of those items. Also does have (AMGGL-511) equipped

Will be going on my battle belt with a safariland mid-ride ubl.

T rex has no time frame for when options will be available for their ragnarok holster for the gen5.

I'm digging the safariland 6390rds-8252 and Sl says its compatible.

Anyone using anything along the lines of those two holsters that they recommend, or any holsters that fit the bill for what I'm looking for that I missed?

Thanks

Just not a lot of holsters available yet, I haven't found anything for mine. I got an old holster for a Glock 21 that fits it for now.

Yeah, I ordered a 6390-3832 for a 21. Im going to cut it for an rmr myself and wrap it in multicam codura. We will see how it turns out

Good luck cutting that for an rmr. The mechanism in that holster is different than one for an optic, and the holsters are molded different for the als.

Why did you order something completely different?

21 is wider than 17/22 and the ALS latch is setup differently on the non DO/RDS holsters.

G21 and gen5 G22 are the exact same width with the g21 only 3mm longer. Previous gen1-4 g22 holsters will not work with a gen5 g22.
No one makes a gen5 g22 rds holster thats currentlyavailable. So I'm going to attempt to modify it to work.

Like I said, we will see how it turns out.

I wonder if the 45 Gap model holsters fit?

Yes, the gen5 g22 fits the 37, but is going to be slightly tight

Safariland 6360 with RMR cut work for it?

Full Disclosure:  I don't use RMR's on my pistol, but use a ton of Safarilands.

It will not work. The rds mechanism is completely different than the non rds. I have both.

Yes. If you were to modify for RDS, you would cut out where the ALS arm mounts to the holster.

Should have bought a rds holster, and used a dremel to sand the area where the slide touches to open it up a bit, but what do I know.

6360 and 6390 series holsters will hold a Gen5.  I have both holsters (6365 and 6395) and can confirm they will retain a Gen5 Glock.  Current lead time right now is 3-4 months for Safariland holsters.
