Hi everyone! I ran into an interesting issue today at the range running the Ramjet for the first time in my G45. I was using my 19x magazines with it and loaded up 115gr Blazer brass rounds. I inserted the mag and dropped the slide using the slide release, round wouldn't chamber. Locked the slide back, dropped the mag, tried again...same problem. Repeated the process, but used the slingshot method for releasing the slide. Still wouldn't chamber any rounds. Tried several magazines and no problems. The magazines aren't old either. Decided to drop a round in the chamber and drop the slide on the round. I don't like doing this, but did it anyway. This time the slide went forward and closed on the round in the chamber. I fired the round and the slide locked back. I then loaded up a few more rounds and didn't have anymore problems. I ran around 100 rounds or so through it and it ran perfeclty.

This was my first experience with the Ramjet in any Glock, so I have no experiences to compare it to. Has anyone else run into this issue and know why it was happening?

For the record, I ran 115gr Blazer, 147gr HST, 135gr Critical Duty and 124gr +p Critical Duty. I got the other rounds later after the initial problem. It ran everything fine after I loaded that one round in the chamber.

Did you ever run a brush through the bore or take a look down the barrel?

Yes, I did. Cleaned beforehand and nothing upon visual inspection before or after today

Funny you mention that, I just spoke with them haha. And at least I'm not the only one. They said that they have had different stories about break in periods. Some people have issues for the first few magazines and then they are fine. They did state that the chamber tolerances are tighter than factory barrels and that could have been my issue. They also said that if I ran all those types of ammo and didn't have any further issues makes them think it was just chamber tolerances. The guy I spoke to said if there were any other issues to let them know and they would sort it out. I'll continue to shoot it and see if anything else comes up.

Mine has run fine from the get go. OEM recoil spring. 124 grain PMC is my training ammo and I carry 124 grain GD. Haven't shot all summer but I shot the snot out of it when I got it this spring.

The Radian Ramjet barrels have a little step in the chamber. I think they say it's for gas sealing or something.  Maybe the case rim is hanging up on that? I haven't had any malfunctions with mine, but I do notice the marks on the brass from the step in the chamber.

I did notice that now that you mentioned it. I didn't think much of it until reading your post. I'll have to take a look at my brass and see if there are any marks.
