How prevalent are RMR’s or or mrd’s on pistols in the socom community? Has everyone shifted that direction or are there still more guys using iron sights?

I know SF just purchased like 13 thousand RMRs so I’d guess G19MOS guns will have lots of dots soon.

I thought the Sigs were cut for DPPs? After a qiuick Google search that appears to be correct. I also found this on Sig's website, "The optic cut on the P320-M17 guns are cut per the MHS contract, thus are not compatible with the ROMEO1 but is compatible with the ROMEO1 PRO. " |

I just have to say I am amazed no one here has had a Gen 3 slide milled with a MOS cut for the sole purpose of making a clone...

I suppose it could be filled and re-cut, but that seems real iffy. |

Time will tell though the optics cut makes the DHS/CBP 19 an obvious choice over the 19M. USCG is a hybrid of LE and .MIL and the RDS is making big inroads in federal LE. The US Marshals have been allowing RDS on personally owned Glocks for about 2 years. CBP/USBP and USSS have adopted MOS G19/47 with optics testing in progress. ICE is in the final stages of testing and piloting optics. Initial roll out will be issued P320s for SRT Use, and all LEOs having the option for certain POW Glocks and SIG 320s with factory optics cuts. CBP is the largest LE Agency in North America - as such their adoption of Optics cut guns is a big deal. |

They're too cheap with most of our weapons I can't imagine them buying optics that "aren't needed" for pistols when we need a whole of rifle optics replaced and a whole lot more rifles in general |

We get a lot of 19's mostly, some threaded, some cut for RMR. It all depends on who you are with and where you are.

I believe I read that SF went with Glock 19’s to reduce snag and overall size of their secondary which made a lot of sense. I’m curious why wasn’t the G26 chosen? It’s such an amazing pistol and shoots like a full size. Is it used by any SF units? Maybe in an undercover capacity?
