The 1911 is a beast upon thee skin when carried AIWB.

Not too bad on the printing considering frame is perfect size, slide may be different based on version owned. My government model is not optimistic for such scenarios. I always felt the colt commander would be the perfect. 45 IWB CCW.

Carry a full sized IWB in a VM2 without any issues so OWB carry with a similar quality holster would seem to be even easier.  I prefer IWB so I can be less concerned with printing but to each his or her own.

I still prefer IWB, I feel it lends me better concealment when in NPE.

They are thin enough guns that IWB is the only logical choice, unless you're using a fancy BBQ holster...at a BBQ.

IWB without a doubt.

I carry a full size 1911 AIWB. If you have the right holster and belt setup, It disappears nicely and can be pretty comfortable. I'll admit that for me, OWB is more comfortable but I'll take concealment and the element of surprise over comfort.

IWB and VM2.  Order a belt at the same time. You won’t regret it.
