Today I took my new 509T to the range.

Leftist state so 3 x 10 round mags. Two 17 round mags inbound to a bud across state lines.

One of the three mags had a repeated failure to lock the slide when empty. One was perfect, one worked fine after the first 10 rounds. I’ll go again tomorrow. 100round/day limit right now. (Limited to shooting ammo bought at the range. Current limit 2 x 50 round boxes.)

Good news is I shot the 509T better than my favorite, a CZ SP 01 Phantom. The FN will replace my favorite when my 17 round mags arrive.

Did  the Tactical Toolbox trigger improvement - WOW, what an improvement.

The Vortex is a pita to zero, you need to take it off every time you want to make an adjustment.

Good to hear.  I got my first FN 2 weeks ago, a 509 Tactical.  Took my Trijicon RMR off my G5 19 and put it on the 509.  I still shoot irons better but that's due to a lack of training.  Going to stay with it and probably pick up a 509 midsize MRD in a couple of weeks.
