at a good deal, I think.  Found it on Craigslist for 450.  I've been looking at revolvers for a while, decided on the GP100 over the S&W models.  Haven't shot it yet, ammo should be here by Wednesday.

ETA:  Manufactured in 2013.

$450 is a very good price!
As long as the cylinder locks up well, you are GTG.

Cylinders have minimal play, hardly any wear at all on this pistol.  I'm happy with the purchase.

Great find at a great price! I've always wanted a GP100, but never find time to search for one until earlier this week. Located a GP100 Wiley Clapp brushed stainless 357 magnum w/3" barrel at a great price. Used, but buying off original owner with low low round count. Can't beat a GP100 for a solid revolver that's built like a tank! Pictures next week hopefully.

My experience has been that Rugers keep their timing better than any other revolver.  I have yet to find one that doesn’t lock up before the hammer falls

They’re around. I picked my 4” stainless LNIB with adjustable mepro night sights for $500 a few years ago. Guy just needed some money I suppose, it happens. The GP100 is an awesome workhorse revolver.

It's funny I never really cared for the GP100 until as of late. I wound up buying a 686 but actually didn't care for the trigger pull on it. I sold it, then traded into a GP100 and could not be happier. The Ruger bug then got a hold of me and I wound up getting a couple SP101 357 revolvers as well. I actually prefer the cylinder release on the Ruger revolvers more than any other revolvers I have owned and the trigger pull is actually quite nice. Congrats on a nice revolver.

I picked up one of the early GP100's, 6" barrel. Rubber grip with the wood insert. Unfortunately, I don't keep wheelguns very long.

Was a very nice gun, and cost about $350 new back then I think.

I’ve had a couple different 4” models, heavy and slick shooting. Congrats!

I have a blued 6” barrel full underlug that I bought in 1999 new for $325.
It’s a fantastic revolver that’s had many thousands of rounds thru it. Incredibly smooth now.
With light .38 Special handloads it’s like shooting a loud .22.

That’s a great looking revolver OP!

I just traded into a 4” the other day. I haven’t had a chance to get it out to the range yet…

You'll love it. Mine handles anything I feed it unlike my S&W's. Much stronger then any S&W I've ever owner.

I have that exact same set up.  Best revolver Ruger ever made.  Part of my carry rotation.

I lucked into a like new GP100 Match Champion at my local gun store.  Someone traded it in and if it didn't say "Used", I would have thought it NIB.  They had it marked $450, asked if they'd take $400, they accepted, and I couldn't get my wallet out of my pocket fast enough.

Great trigger and fun to shoot!

Great deal, i payed $525 for a mint used 6" stainless back in '14. Hands down my most accurate handgun. I did do a Wolfe spring kit as the factory trigger pull is pretty stiff.
Looks like the o/p's GP already has a Hogue grip upgrade and those work awesome .

I didn't get a great deal, but got the one I wanted.

Stainless GP100 in 5 inch. Absolutely love the length. I put the wood and rubber grips on, some fiber sights, and shoot the shit out it.

@bmarshall1
I realize it's an old post but I get a good fit from leather holsters made for S&W 'N' frames. Mine do have a thumb snap for added security.

Thanks Rob - I found one but it is cheaply made, I'll have to take a look at the S&W 'N' holsters, Merry Christmas!

Bought this one about 30 years ago.  Mostly because the shop had a left handed holster for it.
