Thinking about purchasing one. Would love to hear about owner's experiences. Thanks!

Got mine, put 50 rds thru it and had to send it back for repair due to the safety levers being so loose one side would engage one side would be off. Didn't shoot that well either with 6 different types of ammo. And even after the factory tuning the extractor it still kicked brass 30 yards. Buy a ruger or springfield and don't bother with that junk.

My son's "Big Rock" is awesome. It's a lot more fun to shoot than his 10mm Glock.

We have a few RIA's of various calibers and they've all been great.

Mine has worked very well. A lot of gun for the money. Sportsman’s Warehouse has them for sale on line for $499.99.

Flip a coin.
Both me and a friend bought one ea.
His was a dud and mine was a stud.
He's still pissed about that lol.

Better options in 10mm 1911s are out there.

Some 10mm RIAs run, some don't and are junk right outta the box.

You might want to look at the new(-ish) S.A. 10mm TRP.

I like mine.  Runs flawless after about 500 rounds.  It does require a break in.

I recently picked up a GI model in 10mm.  I only ran 70 rounds through it so far.

A box of PPU and 20 rounds of SIG Elite Performance.  Accurate and reliable so far. Going to load up some of my Blue Dot loads that are Warmer than most factory ammo and see how it does

My Colt Delta leaves bulges in the case but the Rock Island has a supported chamber and should leave the brass in good shape.

Friend of mine has one and loves it, he has the GI model, great way to get into a 10MM.

I like mine.  I changed out the recoil spring for a heavier one.  Also my front sight was loose and had to be red locited to keep it in place.

I have this one,  its heavy and I like it a lot.   I wish I had bought the big rock though,  it has a 6 inch slide.

Rock Island stands behind their pistols!!!  They make tons of 1911's and if a problematic one gets out there, they make it right!  For the money, they are GREAT!

Had two, Commander & 2011. The 2011 got stolen & I haven't got it back yet. (Cops won't even return my fucking calls!)

My Commander is my truck gun. Shoots nicely, accuracy is better than I expected, quite honestly.

I would buy both all over again if I had the opportunity. That's about the best endorsement I think a gun can have.
