I didn't see any mention of these, so I figured I'd start a thread on them. The team got to try them out before they hit the web store, and I can assure you, they are awesome! Factory 20 round magazines, easy to load, and every bit as high quality as the standard 15 round magazine. I used one on every stage of the Ft. Benning match, and it was flawless.

Not knocking hk quality. Their is a demand.
I wont over pay.
All hk mags are over priced. But if you want to play you got to pay. LOL
Other gun company's have pricey mags too.

Excellent. I was wondering if they were extensions or if it was a sleeve over a longer mag. Glad to see it’s a longer mag. Looks like mine will be here wed.

I just realized $59 is the normal price, with today's 20% discount, they're $47.20. That's not near as bad.....

In addition, they gave me a 9mm BoreBlitz(basically an HK boresnake) for free, normally $17.

Plus free shipping(orders over $50)

Today's the day to buy them if you want em!

Knowing hk I expected a price of 100 bucks. Actually not a bad deal considering what a normal mag and quality extension would cost.

Most things P30 / VP seems to be less expensive then anything USP.

I wonder why that is? Quality / Materials ?

I think they had to drop the price to stay competitive, just look at how much the price of a new HK45 has come down since they debuted.

This might be a stupid question but can anyone who has one of these let me know if an X Grip adapter will work/seat correctly on one and prevent overinsertion into a USPc or P2000?

Thanks for posting about these @razzman1. My 13 year old uses a vp9 in run and guns and I ordered two of these for stocking stuffers.

They will work but they will extend from the grip more than the mag protrusion pictured above.

The trouble with using long magazines in many guns is magazine over insertion. Upon vigorous insertion the magazine overruns the catch and slams into the ejector, which can cause damage to the mag, the ejector, or both.

Hence my question about X Grip adapters above. Currently waiting on jafrush to get his mags and try it.

They fit, but there is a slight gap in the adapter and magwell

Grabagun.com also has them in stock for $40.29. If you are in TX though like me you get hit with taxes.

Could you possibly do some comparison shots? If you have a Glock 17 or similar pistol laying around, I'd love to see it next to the VP9 with the HK OEM 20 round mag inserted. If that isn't possible, could you do some comparison shots of the 20 and 15 round mags?

Ok, finally got them in today!

First up, the requested picture of one in a USPC with a X grip spacer:

Looks to be ok. The spacer doesn't really fit well on the magazine though when not inserted. You can see how the back gets pushed up.

I'll probably use it without any of the spacers honestly, actually feels like a better grip. Plus it wont make it as awkward when used in the SKs. Yeah, I know, watch out for over-insertion, etc. I'll probably dremel off the little front lip of the P30 bump on the baseplate.

Just for fun, double XGrip'ed! This would actually be decent if you dremmeled the back of the bottom xgrip off so there was only one curve:

20 is the perfect size and I think 30 is just too big.

Super late but thanks! Those pics are exactly what I was looking for.

I'll likely pick a few of these to stuff in my USPC and P2K. And a few X Grips since i live in constant fear of magazine over insertion.

These really have me debating whether my next HK will be a USP or P30L.

I wonder if these 20 rounders will prevent the slide from chambering a round from the locked position when reloading from a full magazine. That's one reason why I've stayed away from extended base plates. I enjoy that feature on the VP9 when using factory 15 rounders.

I doubt it will have any effect, as it's not a feature, it's just physics. But first chance i get, I will check.

I've never been able to get any other pistol to do it. Not with 100% consistency anyway. Definitely get back with us! Thank You!
