I recently acquired a pre-owned fnp-45 tactical and have been doing some research on optic mounts.
Are the mounting plates for the fnp and Fnx the same? Are there any dots that mount to the slide without the need for a plate? |

IIRC the optics plates did not change with the evolution to the FNX from the FNP. Midwest Gun Works has parts diagrams that will allow you to confirm part numbers to be sure.
AFAIK there are no optics that will mount directly to the slide. You do NOT need a sealing plate for an RMR. |

You can mount the Burris Fast Fire and Noblex/Doctor sights to the FNP-45 Tactical without a mounting plate, but you may not be able to access all the adjustment screws to sight them in (they may be sitting too low on the slide).
