Hello everyone,
Just purchased my first "High Power", specifically a Post-war FN. Serial number is 45377.

In short, I'm trying to nail down the year of the gun. It has the *R proof on the barrel, slide and frame, which puts it between 1951 and 1965. It also has the one-piece barrel, half moon indent on the slide and internal extractor, so that narrows it down to 1951-1961.

All the Belgian proof marks match up with this time frame too.

There are '2's inside squares various places on the gun, which I read would indicate the gun in made in 1952. But I can't confirm this is correct.

In addition to all that there are a number of marks that I can't positively decipher. Some of which match up with multiple Belgian date codes. Please check out picture of the gun here, https://qq0u.app.link/e/Fuoksp4SQQ

What do all these other letters and number mean?!

Thanks,

Michael
