Curious to hear a full review. You planning on shooting it suppressed?

Where did you get it?

I just got mine.  Trigger and accuracy are on par with anything out there.  Mine is having failure to go in to battery every 10 rounds.  I have 60 rnds thru it so far, but tomorrow ill expand it to 500 or so.  Amazing reset on the trigger.  Canick and century did this on there own. Glock should hang their head in shame, but their is good money in aftermarket parts.  I just spent 100 bucks trying to get my G21sf trigger closer to the Canick.  AND ITS NOT!

I haven't even got to shoot mine yet, but I still liked it enough to buy another Canik.

Have you been able to shoot it yet?  I’ve narrowed my next handgun down to either this or the FN509T.

Edit: fat fingered 509

Sorry no. Been too busy with work also trying to conserve ammo at the moment. I can tell you I prefer the feel of the Canik to the FN and the trigger isn't even close.

The trigger break and reset on the Canik was actually really nice.  That alone almost had me taking it home and I came really close.  What I didn’t like was that it felt extremely wide to the point of being uncomfortable.

Besides the trigger and price, I liked everything else on the FN better, which is why I own one now.  I’ll probably end up with a Canik at some time, but a P365XL will come first.

This was also my first Canik, and I now have 3, the other 2 being the Elite Combat Executive and the TP9sfx.

It feels 'wide' to you?

Fits my hand much better than any of the glocks, and the 509.
And the fact that even a basic stock trigger in the Canik is better, at 1/3 the price, goes to show you are paying for the name.
Even the Salient Arms upgraded models come in at $200 under the 509, which will still need an aftermarket trigger to come close to being as nice, so now you are looking at around a $400 price difference.

No doubt I’m paying extra for the FN name, but the trigger I ended up with on my 509 is pretty damn nice. Not Salient nice, but still very good. Now that I’ve put MCARBO springs($25) in and a few hundred rounds, I like it even more.

As for price, the shop I purchased from had the Salient Elite Combat Ex for $699, without the dot and $850 with. My 509 with springs came in under $800, so not that much of a difference when you look at mags and a decent case.

When I say wide, it is the trigger itself. It’s been a while but I think it was nearly as wide as the trigger guard.

While it's wide, it helps with trigger finger placement. Kinda hard to wrap you finger around it.

I can see that. Put the distal joint on the edge and it would make for a decent point to index. It probably wouldn’t take much to get used to.

Cross-shopped the 509 and ECE looking for a suppressor host.
The 509 is nice and felt good in hand. But for what FN wanted for it I felt the trigger should have been MUCH better.
Went with the ECE and haven't regretted it one bit.

I have a Combat Ex.  Love it.  I shoot it suppressed at steel out to 100 yds.  Tack driver with a FF2 red dot.  I wish they made it in a long slide version as Im sure it would be more accurate.

I bought a TP9SF on a whim and like it a lot.  I have a TP9SF Elite on the way.  The Executive is probably the next one.

Do these use a baseplate for the rds? Or are they cut for specific footprints?

Baseplates - it comes with one and others are available on their website.
