I bought a kydex holster off eBay that is molded in such a way to fit with the safety off.

Multiple holsters depending on the situation. Always have the safety ON. It is an ingrained motion to move my thumb to the safety as I draw the pistol. 100% automatic action. Taking the safety off is determined by the reason I drew the gun. Even on guns like my Sig P250 DAO, I still make the safety drop motion as I draw the gun. ymmv

I won't carry a striker fire without a manual safety, and it will be ON until I need to fire. The safety is the principal reason I bought Taurus, plus already having a G1 24/7 .45 and a PT1911 .45.

Should depend on how you practice.

Off, a safety could get you killed, unless you train and dryfire with it.

OP, if you want to modify your kydex holster to carry on safe, grab a heat gun and heat that area up slightly and remold for the position you want.
