Dan Wesson made the ECO in the past. AFAIK, it was a true officers model (3.5" barrel). Why did they cancel it?
I'm wondering whether they cancelled it due to it not running well or if it wasn't selling. |

I dunno, but wish like hell they were still available.
I know @steviesterno16 has one in 9mm, and as far as I remember it runs VERY well. |

Because Dan Wesson discontinued everything that’s nice. 🙄
I’d buy another Discretion right now if I could find one for non gunbroker prices. I think my first one was right around $1,700 IIRC. |

Presumably it wasn't selling. That's generally the reason companies discontinue items. Few companies stop making things that make them a lot of money.
I will also say that I hate DWs current lineup. So ugly. Maybe Colt management wants them to fail. Or it's just what Colt does. |

I have one in 9mm. Never had any issues with it. Great carry gun. I run mine in a Tenicor AIWB holster.
Gun just disappears in it. |

The A2 was a nice pistol, sure wish I would’ve grabbed one when I had the chance.

I believe they did away with the Vigil and Guardian as well? My Vigil is a sweet shooting gun.

Seemed to be a great carry piece but it’s apparently been discontinued for years now. |

CZ bought Colt so it wasn't that Colt bought CZ to run it into the ground. Although you may be correct in that Colt management may want CZ to fail. I mean Colt seems to want that for their own company so why not spread it around? |

What's the difference between a ECO and a CCO?
I'd love the have a 9mm CCO to match my .45 version. |

I'm still resentful about when they discontinued the OG Valor.

Just picked up a brand new unfired, not even handled in the box 9mm version. Built in 2021. Paid 1100 out the door from a local dealer. Saw it on gunbroker, went to the dealer and bought it before anyone could bid.
