Just got a civilian High Power from a gun shop with near 100% finish and almost no wear. The shop sent it to Browning for what they thought was a crack in the barrel (ring around chamber from 2 part barrel, common mistaken identity) and Browning sent it back saying the slide was cracked. There is what appears to be a scratch coming from the slide stop notch in the slide going forward toward the muzzle and slightly upward (10 degrees or less). There is no visible crack inside the slide stop notch or on the inside of the slide. I cannot feel the crack with my fingernail or a plastic dental pick. This is the only thing that I could find that might be a crack. Anywhere else that's common for failures I could check? Should I get a penetration test done? I'll upload a photo when I get home from work this evening.

I tried searching but could not find anything in the last 30 days.

For some reason FN cuts the pocket out too much.  The extra big radius in the corner is

How hard is it to machine the pocket to match the contours of the paddle?
