Doesn't appear that they are offering a 4" (4.2"?) barrel as yet.  Too bad.  6" isn't bad, 8" is not good looking.  4" is where it's at.  I'd almost consider trading my Ruger Redhawk .44 Mag for one if they offered the short barrel.

The 8” does look a bit “extreme” but I’m sure it’s accurate.  I have a real nice early 60’s S&W 29-1 but she doesn’t get shot that often so the new Colt would be nice.

So are they going to use that "funky" excuse they used for a "polished finish" on the new Python?  Anyone know the technology behind that "polish?"  At best, it appears to me, to be a fine grit bead blast. (?)

Thank you CZ for making Colt head in the right direction.

I wish they'd bring back the Cobra or Agent snubbie as a shrouded hammer.

If I could get CTC laser grips for it, I'd carry that in a heartbeat.

I'd like one of these CZolt Anacondas with a 4" barrel.

Why no blued, real steel models?

For $1,500 I hope it is as smooth and slick as a good Python. If it is a truly quality design and execution I would pay that for a modern Python experience in my favorite revolver caliber. Just hope it isn’t Walmartized Python-like.

Oh yeah, in 4” for me. I might go 6” but prefer 4”.

I  just bought a King Cobra today.  It was definitely an impulse purchase....

Very nice trigger...

Check out the Night Cobra.

Bobbed hammer DLC coated with a tritium night sight.

Colt addressed this with the new Pythons...

Extra labor in polishing and bluing would mean a higher price for blued versions, and they do not believe the market would support that.

Presumably it's the same for the new CZolt Anaconda.

Makes sense.  Also blueing solutions can be pretty nasty stuff.  I imagine environmental issues also come into play.

Because that deep rich bluing is due to hand polishing and that is time consuming and expensive to do. All the ''combat finish'' bullshit was a great way for revolver companies to save a ton of time and money on each one and to make more $$$ off  doing less.

That bluing is one of the Python trademarks, it's why the new one's are ''also rans'' in my book far behind the old ones.
