In a local pawn shop there is a nickel finish colt vest pocket .25. It has brown Bakelite grips with COLT on them, the serial is :1287XX which puts its about 1915. They are asking $399, should I FO or no?

Price is ok. Gun is useless. One of them impulsive buys. Like the Chinese Tokarev I just bought.

Refinished? If so absolutely not.

never buy old cool guns that have been refinished, especially if chromed, they are no longer collectables and worth very little most of the time.

I'm not sure that it was refinished. Wasn't there a factory nickel finish????
