I'm on the fence, similarly priced but the Dan Wesson is the matte stainless, not the duty treat version.  I own both brands and familiar with the pros and cons of each but yet, I can't decide.  Any suggestions?

My CCU is the most reliable 1911 I’ve ever fired. I know many people like the “fit and finish” of the DW, but I prefer the Colt for the reliability, ionbond finish,  firing pin safety, and newer rail which reinforces the strength of the frame.

I believe they (Colt) also make a series 70 version of the same pistol, which I would prefer personally.

Good luck with yours.
