I’m looking for someone who can restore the Combat Elite markings on my Colt. The markings are pretty shallow and I would like them sharpened up. Any ideas? Thanks for any help in advance.

The slide roll marks are not easy to restore.  If you aren’t familiar with how they are applied, check this thread (has video):

One place I know that routinely does it is Ford’s.  Not cheap at all.

Big fan of the CE, one of my favorite Colts.  Is it really that bad or worn?

The Combat Elite roll marks are very light in the first place. I have owned 3 Combat Elites over the years and they each have had different issues. On my first one 1/2 the roll mark was good and it faded on the last 1/2. The second one had a perfect roll marks, but this last one has light roll marks. The roll marks on the left side have all been great on all three. It is just the Combat Elite roll marks on the right side that have been the issue.

I’m planning on keeping this for one so I want it to look good. Part of me thinks it may be cheaper to buy another one with better roll marks, but this one is set up perfectly otherwise.
