Are there any collectors value to these other then Lugers being somewhat rare?

Thinking about picking one up w/most of the finish gone and having it black nitrided.

Honestly there are lots of people out there that would drool just cause it’s a Luger. No real collector value to these,
but If you make it real purdy you will probably get more money than in beat condition. Of course, you can lose money if you spend too much to get it refinned. I don’t know how closely they were examined. Some manufactures made less than others so make sure you don’t refinn an unusual one,
like a Dutch Luger or one with a factory threaded barrel: (very few made)My friend bought one for a song.

I wouldn't nitride finish any firearm.....especially a Luger.

How would the parts react to the 800 degree temps required?
