I’ve been a member of Range USA for a year or so, the indoor range chain that used to be called Shoot Point Blank. They have clean, modern indoor ranges in a dozen or so states, I believe. Their monthly membership is slightly cheaper than paying their range fee for one visit, so it works out in my favor if I can get there more than once a month. I also like that I can go to one of their ranges in Michigan or in Texas when visiting family down there. However, their ammo prices are generally pretty high, in the $20-$25 range / 50 rnd box of 9mm. They regularly offer sales that bring the price down to around $15.99 if you buy 5+ boxes. More reasonable, but still a little high as prices come down.
I mention all that as context to say that I was surprised when I got an email ad from them today advertising a case of 115 gr Magtech for $249.99. Order online, shipped free to your local store for pickup. Sales tax, of course, but came out to $264.99: Magtech 9MM Luger 115gr. FMJ 1000 Rounds I’m sure it’s not the cheapest out there, but it worked out to be cheaper than any of the big name places like SGAmmo. I hate to say that it almost seems “reasonable,” but it at least feels like prices are trending in the right direction if a range’s ammo prices are competitive. |
