"13" country code??

We use 99 normally.

ETA: 13 is Belgium.

Got a very nice UK issue shoulder holster for the GP35

The the number on the frame is the catalogue number.  I've never seen a L9A1 that did not have that number on the frame.  I think the 13 means the country it was made in/came from.

A HiPower with a matte finish looks so good.  All business.  I don't mind that mine is blued but I prefer matte blued or parked.

I just noticed...  what kind of holster is that?

Thank you.  And another stellar post by you as usual.  Hey, are Rolex's robust?  My Dad gave me one and I don't ever wear it.  I don't want to hurt the thing.  LOL.  I do need to get a different band for it if I ever want to, or have it sized.  It was his retirement gift from IBM that he wanted to pass down to me and gave it to me a couple of years ago.  I have to admit I'm not real into the whole expensive watch thing.  I'd rather wear my 30 dollar timex cuz I figure I'm going to bust whatever is worn on my wrist eventually.  But maybe Rolex's are known for taking a licking and keep on ticking.

Is the l9a1 a mkii or miii? Does it have a firing pin safety?

MKIII, no firing pin safety.  L9A1 spec/contract does not call for one.  I think only the MKIIIS have the added fp safety.

I would love to have a British-issued HP. Thanks for sharing that!

Neat.

I like high powers.

I personally would want a holster of some kind to keep some of the dust out, and for more safety carrying cocked and locked.  But I guess if your grandmother is the queen, that doesn't matter.
