Nobody knows, because nobody's gotten an optics plate yet.

They're on the site but you can't buy them, and the promised free optics plate hasn't showed up yet.

Beretta customer service won't answer phone calls or emails.

What a shitshow.

I called CS Friday, talked to someone within 5 minutes.

Optic plate codes will "be sent out in a week or two."

Eta: another thread here some reported getting their code.

Add to that they’ve been on their site for purchase for about a month now.

Well, that's good news. I'll hold off and try to be patient, I'm sure they're already getting yelled at a lot.

Still, would be nice to get an email back.

I got my code and they said ship date would be 12/3. Still not shipped yet. I almost paid for the 1 day shipping.

Dec 22, still no optics plate.

I did get an email on the 12th saying soon.jpg, but no word on actually when.

I could've had two 92X's to LTT and back in this time.

Called yesterday, said they were sending out emails to October registration dates...

So, soon. Or two weeks. Or two months.

Lookit what showed up today!

Interestingly, the plate is steel. I thought I heard some people having trouble because the plates were aluminum, but this is a big hunk of iron.

Hopefully I can shoot it this weekend.

Mine showed up, too. Box it came in was HUGE with the little optic plate box bouncing around inside. Its a solid plate and seems higher in pics than when looking through the optic.

I had been waiting since my purchase of the 92X fullsize in November.  Requested a Trijicon plate.
It took until last week to receive it, but in the meantime, I had found a Burris Fastfire 3 on the EE for an excellent price.
Ordered the Burris plate, and received it in about 3 days.

In this picture, you can see that the plate does not sit as high as everyone was saying they do.  You can see the height of the plate in relation to the rear sight, which is the Wilson Battlesight U notch.

Hoping to get to the range today for the sight in.

The factory Beretta plates have the same height as the Trijicon dovetail mount; roughly .13"   The shape of the slide makes the optic look like it sits higher than what it actually does.

Just got mine this week. Feels solid. This is my first red dot on a pistol so idk what good or bad is.

Doesn’t look or feel too high. I did hear getting irons to co-witness could be an issue. Haven’t really looked into this yet.

So I sighted this RDO for a 20 yard zero:
Not sure if that is too far a distance, as I've read 10 or 15 is optimal.
This was shot at 10, offhand.  It's 5 shots.
I'm gonna try a 15 yard zero, bench rested, and see the difference.
Offhand, unsupported isosceles, to say I'm pleased is an understatement.
This my first trip into dot life, and I'm liking it.

I guess Beretta felt a little bad about making me wait 4 months for an optics plate and sent me a box of goodies:

Ear and eyepro, a little shotgun shell slipjoint knife and a sticker. Nice.
